Q&A

How Do I Learn Meditation?

There are many forms of meditation stemming from a variety of spiritual traditions.

Some meditation techniques are advanced and take years to master while others can be picked up in a matter of minutes.

The question you should ask yourself is, "Why do I want to learn meditation?"

Spirituality And Health

Some practice meditation because of the many health benefits. It effectively dissolves physical and mental stress and is known to lower the blood pressure.

Others aspire to bring more awareness into their lives for which meditation is a great tool. This could be referred to as a spiritual path.

Guided Meditation

The most basic form of meditation is called guided meditation. It's a good starting point for health lovers and spiritual seekers alike.

One great advantage of guided meditation is that the voice instructions keep you right on track at all times - it's almost like having your own meditation teacher!

You can meditate in any body posture including sitting on the floor, on a chair or lying down. Other forms include standing and walking meditation, more on that lower down.

It's always possible to find time for meditation. Meditate while commuting to work, during coffee breaks or when going to bed a night. A calm mind dramatically improves sleep - find out for yourself.

Mp3 Meditations

The average guided meditation is 5-20 minutes long. You can download Learning To Relax where I guide you to a state of vibrant stillness. No previous experience needed, practice makes perfect...

Best of luck!
